So I’ve been in Melbourne a few weeks now and I’m having a lot of fun exploring this fantastic city. Everywhere you go it seems like you are bound to stumble upon an awesome little cafe. The Lawson Grove Shop is one such hidden gem I visited when my sister was in town last weekend – great brekky beneath a cute old Beverly Hills style apartment block. It’s pretty close to where I live so I’ll be back for sure!

I haven’t posted in a while. Hopefully anyone out there reading this had a good Christmas. I have some news. I’m moving to Melbourne in the new year. Prahran to be exact. Exciting times ahead!

I just want to go back.
Nicely done – Don Draper presents Facebook Timeline (Embedding is not available, but it’s worth the trip to Youtube).
Dolce & Gabbana talk digital strategy.
It all started in September 2009, when D&G positioned bloggers such as Tommy Ton (Jak & Jil) and Scott Schuman (The Satorialist) in the front row alongside the likes of Anna Wintour. This unprecedented move highlighted the transition of an industry looking to maintain their relevance among the digital generation.
The first luxury fashion house to have a mobile website (2004), live stream a fashion show (2005), and live stream a fashion show on an iPhone (2009) discuss the brand’s continuing digital strategy (including the launch of its new online store) with The Business of Fashion.
I actually tried out a similar augmented-reality fitting room in Italy. Yet another insight into how digital interactivity is becoming more and more integrated into everyday life. We spent ages in the boutique playing with it – although the shop assistant wasn’t too pleased when we left without buying anything (grazie mille!!). It’s very Cher’s digital wardrobe from Clueless circa 1995.
A gorgeous concept, flawlessly executed. Believe it or not this was shot entirely on a Nokia mobile phone. Just goes to show that a great idea will shine regardless.
